Katsuo(bonito) Shiokara
Generally, katsuo (bonito) salted and pickled has a strong bitter taste and fishy smell because it is made from ama wata (dried bonito fish) and has a high salt content of around 20%. Our bonito Shiokara has about 16% sodium and has a soothing taste of salt. Also, the bitter taste and fishy odor are mellow due to its unique seasoning. Shiokara , is a food in Japanese cuisine made from various marine animals that consists of small pieces of meat in a brown viscous paste of the animal's heavily salted, fermented viscera.
